Testing your RAM for errors

Are you experiencing blue screens and crashes on your PC? Then it is the time to test the goodness of your RAM. Here is a free software by name Memtest86. It is free and you can download it.

First make sure that you hav inserted the RAM correctly into the slots...

Here are the steps to get the thing done...

• Download the ISO image file from the download page.
• Burn that image file on a CD.
• Reboot your system and change the primary boot to CDRom.
• Now the System gets booted up with the CD.
• It conducts some intensive tests and it would take almost 1 hour of time.
• A report will be delivered at the end of the tests.

If you have two RAM slots installed then do the test placing the RAMs one by one...
